The comeback is in the numbers, and in the price.
Q3 revenue rose 21% to $16.5B as server CPU sales jumped 78%, but PC chips fell and Intel guided Q4 down to $15.5B, hit by a two-week shutdown at its Israel fab and the memory shortage. The stock is still up about 150% this year, and the foundry is still waiting for named outside customers.
Price, last 12 months
Daily closes with the 50-day average. The stock rose from about $34 last November to a $140.94 close in June, fell 42% by late July, then rallied back above $120 in September.
Revenue by segment, by quarter
CCG is PC chips (renamed CCPG in Q2 2026). DCAI is server CPUs and AI. Foundry & other is Intel Foundry's outside revenue plus Mobileye and other businesses, after removing the wafers Foundry sells to Intel's own product groups. Altera left the consolidated results in September 2025. Q4 2026 is company guidance at the midpoint.

Watch list
What moves the thesis, sorted by direction.
AI pulls server CPUs
DCAI revenue jumped 78% to $7.32B, its fastest growth in 15 years, with a 41.5% operating margin. Adding Xeon supply is the top priority; demand, not orders, is running ahead of output.
18A costs, 14A kit
Better Intel 3 and 18A costs lifted non-GAAP gross margin to 44.1%, 2 points above guide. The Intel 14A 0.9 design kit went out in October.
Foundry needs outside customers
Intel Foundry revenue rose 58% to $6.70B, but only $411M came from outside. Tan says a couple of customers should be announced in the next two quarters.
Cash burn and balance sheet
Adjusted free cash flow was +$1.6B in Q3, but the CFO does not expect positive cash flow for 2026 as capex rises. Cash and investments are $54.0B after the August share sale, against $50.1B of debt.
Israel fab and PC slowdown
A deadly October explosion shut the Kiryat Gat fab for two weeks, costing about $600M of revenue over two quarters and about 2 points of Q4 margin. Management sees PC weakness lasting at least through H1 2027.
GAAP noise and valuation
The escrowed CHIPS Act shares swing GAAP results with the share price ($1.0B gain in Q3 after a $12.5B loss in Q2). At ~42× 2027 consensus EPS the stock still prices in a recovery, and it fell about 23% after hours on the Q4 guide.
